Many of the day
to day difficulties experienced by users have already been
notified to us and solved by our technicians. The FAQ search
system offers you searchable access to a database of questions
and answers covering a whole range of Acer products.
We have created
the database search system to offer as much flexibility as
possible. You have different options you might select to search
our Knowledgebase.
You may search for singe keywords or
combinations of keywords. If you want to combine several Keywords in your search you may
combine them with the operators "AND" and/or "OR". Keep in mind that combining two
keywords with "AND" (i.e.: "BIOS AND Password") will give you all Articles that contain both of the keywords.
If you use a ", between your keywords it is seen as an "OR" and you will get all
Articles including either of the words.
Your keywords may contain blanks, meaning that a search for "Altos G610"
will return all Articles that contain this word order. This may be different from a search for "Altos AND G610" as
here the order of the words doesn't matter.
Please note
that in order to ensure you find the most exact answers or
files you need, our search engine is based on model name and series
(i.e. Altos G610, Veriton 7500, TM 270, etc).
Options:
"Sort results by " is a drop down menu option for the order of the result list.
"Return a maximum of " is a drop down menu to limit the number of results listed
"Use word variants " is a check box to make sure you will find also parts of words
(i.e.: "Win" will find "Windows" when checked)
"Fuzzy search " will increase the amount of results by looking up combinations.
Note:
Do not search for full product names like "TravelMate 354TE", since the Knowledgebase
entries are indexed by the Series (in this case "TM 350")
Examples:
"Altos AND (G610, 1200)" - Will list all entries in the Database for Altos G610 and Altos 1200
"TM 630" - Will list all entries for Travelmate 630 Notebooks.
"Aspire AND BIOS" - This will list all entries for Aspire Series (PC's and Notebooks) that also contain BIOS as a keyword.
