  Dear Customer,
  Acer recommends that you run a complete backup (e-recovery) prior to upgrading your PC. "How to run e-recovery"
  For a successful upgrade you need to download all of the available Vista Update files for your model.
  Depending on your Internet connection the download might take some time due to the size of the files (up to 180MB).
  
  
  If you are unsure of how to do the upgrade manually you can also purchase an Acer upgrade DVD containing a
  wizard that guides you through the upgrade process, please call your local Customer Service Center for details.

Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause harm to the system. Acer recommends that you should only upgrade your firmware/drivers if you have been instructed to do so by an Acer Customer Care representative.
